Overview:
Greyhound was firstly found in Egypt, but it developed and populated in the UK most. The other name of this breed is English Greyhound.

Characteristics:
Greyhound is a European breed.
It is very intelligent and gentle in nature.
Greyhounds like to run fast.
It has strong legs, flexible spine, and wide chest.
Greyhounds are mostly used for hunting for their fabulous speed.

Personality:
Greyhounds are mostly quiet, gentle in behavior, and loyal to their owners. They have a sensitive nature, great and polite commands work best for training methods. As they are very intelligent, they learn the lessons very quickly.

Color, coat & grooming:
There are mainly thirty recognized color forms of this breed, which is verified with the color of white, brindle, fawn, black, red and blue (gray), etc that can appear uniquely or in another combination.

Health:
Male Greyhounds are usually 71 to 76 centimeters (28 to 30 in) tall at the length and weigh about 27 to 40 kilograms (60 to 88 lb). Female Greyhounds are also having the tendency to being smaller with shoulder heights ranging from 68 to 71 centimeters (27 to 28 in) and weights from less than 27 to 34 kilograms (60 to 75 lb).The dogs of this breed have very short fur, which is not tough to maintain.

Feeding:
You can consult with animal doctor or the consulter of the pet shop from where you bought your dog or puppy. They can suggest the best food combination or menu for your pet. Usually 2 or 1.5 cups of dog’s food are advised for Greyhounds. This amount can be changeable with the size and age of the dogs. It’s no need to be said that big dogs need more food than the smaller one.
You should also check that your dog is getting proper nutrias elements or not.

Care:
Dogs are seen to eat various things in a whole day. So, they should be being brushed their teeth twice or thrice in a week to remove the germs and food elements. Bad smells also may come out from its mouth whenever germs attacked his teeth more. So, daily brushing is better.
A dog nails usually falls down naturally. If it doesn’t, then you have to trim them by your own. But if you can’t do this yourself, you get help by a professional groomer. Whenever you can hear the scratching by its nail, then it’s the high time to trim them as soon as possible.
Please must be careful that your pet may not be infected with any rushes, insects or chicks. These can be made you setter sick. So, take doctors help if it’s needed badly.

Greyhounds have very loving creations, and they are enjoyed by the company of their human owner and other dogs. Whether a Greyhound enjoys being accompanied by other small animals or cats depends on their unique dog’s character.
Greyhounds want to live with happiness as pets in quiet good environments. They do not behaves well in families with children until the children are being taught to treat the dog properly and with polite behaves and appropriate respect for them.
